| Years ago, soap was made over an open fire using fat from butchered animals and lye from rainwater and ashes. The quality of the soap was never certain but it got the job done. Since then, soap has transcended its humble beginnings to become a form of artistic expression - each bar as individual as the person creating it. Today a soapmaker may choose from a wide variety of exotic oils, scents, colorants, grains and botanicals to produce their own version of a perfect bar of soap. At Miller's Homemade Soaps, we combine traditional methods with modern ingredients. Color, fragrance, moisturizing qualities, lather and hardness are designed into every batch we make. We think our soap is extra special and hope you will too.
